Golf Lodge B&B is well placed within the charming seaside town of North Berwick, being only a short walk away from the town’s quaint high street which offers an array of restaurants, bars and tea shops, and the famous North Berwick West Links Golf Course. Indeed, the town hosts another golf course, The Glen, which is a hidden gem with fantastic views across the Firth of Forth.
The abundance of visitor attractions on offer include the award winning Scottish Seabird Centre which is located by the Harbour. This is a must for all nature lovers and bird enthusiasts. Daily boat excursions offer close up visits to the Bird sanctuary on the Bass Rock and surrounding Islands. For the energetic, perhaps a climb up North Berwick Law, a 600 ft high former Volcanic mound ,from where a breathtaking view awaits.
The town is an ideal base for a family holiday, North Berwick boasts some of the finest Sandy beaches in Scotland. The outdoor paddling pool on East Bay is popular for families with young children along with nearby putting greens & tennis courts.
The town is host to the annual Sailing Regatta which takes place every summer.
Other attractions within a short drive away include Dirleton and Tantallon Castles, The stately homes Lennoxlove House and Gosford House; The Museum of Flight; Glenkinchie Whisky Distillery; and John Muir Country Park.
North Berwick Train Station is a mere 5 minutes walk from our B&B where a journey into Scotland’s historic Capital, Edinburgh, takes a mere 30 minutes.
